About the Trainer

A Note From Rita...

Every dog has the ability and potential to be a great dog even if they have come from the worst of situations.  The key to unlocking the potential of any dog is to understand how dogs think, why they do what they do, and learning to work with them on their level.

Dog training is as much about training the owner as it is about training the dog.  BAD Dogs Welcome values owner participation in all training exercises, as your dog must come to respect and understand you, not the professional trainer, as its pack leader.

I look forward to working with you and your dogs!

Experience...
Rita Trevethan is a certified dog trainer and animal behaviorist with over 14 years of experience.  Rita began her career as a vet technician, but quickly realized that many animals are euthanized because of poor socialization, training, and a lack of owner education.  Rita decided to dedicate her life to helping dog owners understand their animals, and help animals learn their place in the family.

Since then, Rita has received three certifications for dog training and behavior modification.  She has helped hundreds of dogs that were about to euthanized due to aggressive or destructive behavior, become a happily integrated into their families.

Rita believes that every dog can live up to its full potential if given the right combination of love, guidance and owner education.

If you're ready to give up on your dog, give Rita a chance.  If you are committed to helping your dog become a productive member of your family, then Rita can help you!
